A month of Gratitude.

Fall is here, leaves are falling, holiday lights are up, turkeys roasting, Christmas music playing…..EVERYWHERE…….and big sexy racers are closing out the season in style!

There have been many great racing performances this month, but what’s better then racing is seeing this team step up to bat for their fellowmen. This month has been a season of giving and gratitude from this team to so many people being effected by disasters great and small. Team members, in the middle of training, have given of themselves to help a fellow teammate, friend or stranger; both on the race course and off. We’ve seen BSR members volunteering for cleanup in California and helping others across the country. This is a team of more then just triathletes, but wonderful people.

As we enter the end of race season be grateful for all that you have. For the strong healthy body that allows us to race. For the blessing of friends and family. And for the pure joy of being alive!

Here are our wonderful athletes doing what they do and loving it!!!

We had some stealth racers the first part of November: almost 3 times the number of racers we were expecting! Love it 😍

70.3 World Championship Edition

Big Sexy Racing teammates traveled to Nelson Mandela Bay South Africa  to compete in the 2018 70.3 World Championship that took place on September 1 for the Women’s race and September 2nd for the Men’s race. Each athlete earned their spot by qualifying ( = Age Group Win) at a 70.3  event during the season. The trip to get to the final destination took about a day or more; and then the time zone adjustment, the open water conditions, gusty winds, a bit of rain and not-so-bike-friendly drivers met the approximately 4500 athletes as they came to race against the best of the best.

Rick Weslock finished in 4:48:37 while Nali Hummel and Adam Hall finished at the SAME time in 5:19:24. Congratulations to all of our Champions.

In other race news, Terrance Ramirez raced to 2nd in AG at the Fortitude 10K with a blazing fast 39:47.

BSR Races into a Long Memorial Day Weekend

While the race calendar was pretty light this past weekend, we still had several team mates kicking off the official start of summer this Memorial Day weekend including several AG wins and podium finishes.

Teammate Jodi O’Shea was one busy and very FAST lady this weekend where she won her AG in not just one race but two races!  She was able to make top of the podium for both the Spring Festival Triathlon with a 1:03:44 AND the Spring Festival 5k with a 22:16.  Nice come back Jodi!

Daniel Hopkins won his AG at the Goosepond Island Half Iron Triathlon with a 5:27:20.  Great job Daniel!  (No photo)

Kris Swann Cordova endured the treacherous weather at the Wyoming 50k with golf ball sized hail just to make it extra challenging.  She earned herself a sweet belt buckle.  Nice work Kris!

Boulder CO got a whole lot sexier with all the confetti at the Bolder Boulder.  Terrance Ramirez grabbed a podium spot with 3rd AG in 41:18!! Erik Greenfield ran it in 58:29 , Whiting Dimock Leary  with a 1:11:39,  Kitty Clark Cole in 1:15:00,  Kris Swann Cordova in 1:16:46  (holy smokes – 2 races for Kris as well!!)

Teammates Ally Benoit and Harold Wilson placed well at the Cap Tex Triathlon, where Harold got 5th AG with a 2:21:03 and Ally 8th AG with a 2:44:30.  Great work Ally and Harold!  (No photos)

Until next time #staysexy
