Ironman North American Championship and April Wrap-Up

Another weekend full of triathlons that ranged from the Ironman North American Championship in Texas to marathons and half marathons Kentucky Derby way and many others.
What an amazing way to wrap up April.  Big Sexy Racing went out of the gates strong the first weekend, and did not slow down through the entire month, even as we passed the finish line of April.
So lets take a look at all of the great stuff that happened during the fun filled, adventure packed race weekend.
We started it off with Pam Wilson doing the Bike Luck Charity Ride!  What an amazing ride to be able to help kids get into summer camps.  Amazing way to pay it forward while training for your upcoming races!

Teammates Courtney, Tanner and Hugo ran into each.  Always love meeting up with other teammates!

In the Cary Du Classic, Courtney Mickel, took 1st Age Group with a finish of 2:01:03.  What a way to roll rock it out on the course, of course always have to love riding on the Reynolds Race wheels that only help improve the engine that is built from all of the training!
Texas heated up again this weekend with Ironman Texas, the Ironman North American Championship.  Of course, Big Sexy Racing went into it strong and pulled off some amazing finishes and results.
Not to mention bringing home 2nd place in Division 2 in the TriClub.  This team never ceases to amaze.

Aaron Widman took to Lake James International Triathlon as a last second idea seeing everyone else on the team racing and wanting in on the action.  Well, Aaron, looks like you did it right getting 1st Overall with a 2:13:46.  Contrats on that podium finish!!!
Christopher Whelchel decided to go out for a 13.1 mile jog at the Westminster Trail Half Marathon and finished it with a 2nd place age group, 10th Overall finish with an outstanding time of 1:38:38.
Big Sexy Racing not only had 3 attack the Zydeco Triathlon.  All 3 finished with a podium spot!  Wow way to really go there and represent the team!!!!  This race you not only get to have fun at, but you also get to have the benefits go to the Eunice Community Health Clinic which provides free and low cost healthcare to the working and under-insured.  Why not have fun and do some good at the same time!!!!
Adam Hall attacked and took 3rd Overall with an impressive finish of 42:21.

Ellis
St. Anthony’s Triathlon had BSR there racing hard too.  3 of them again….This team races often, but also races with others from the team just as often.  What an amazing family and support system to have!
Eddie Carvallo rocked out a 2:33:35.  Carrie Pappas took home 6th in her age group with a stellar 2:38:57.  And then we have Scott Horns who attacked it and finished with a very impressive 2:23:28!
Jim Lukanich took on the TexasMan Olympic Triathlon.  He did not only take it on though, he took 1st in his age group with an amazing time of 2:24:03!
Then check out this finish by Shauna Hall at the Baylor Tom Landry Sprint Triathlon.  Taking 2nd in her age group with an rocking finish of 1:23:58!  What a come back race being the first one since Ironman Florida in November of 2016 when life through in obstacles, one right after another.  But she stuck with it, and the results show that persistence will pay off and you can come back stronger than ever before!

Now we head into May and it will be amazing to see what Big Sexy Racing will be up to then!
